PAIN FROM ADVANCED OSTEOARTHRITIS CASE REVIEW

From Dr. Carlo Tremolada I proudly share this case in which I was personally present when the patient was treated in New York almost three years ago. It is part of a series of very well followed up patient series going to be published with long term follow up. I congratulate Richard Striano for the passion and above all the hard work of the follow up which is essential to show how LIPOGEMS is working in this difficult advanced cases.
Thank you Rich Stria

PAIN FROM ADVANCED OSTEOARTHRITIS CASE REVIEW:73 YO male: Bone-on-bone knee pain having failed prior standards of care including arthroscopic surgery.First case in clinical study to pass the 2 ½ year benchmark after precision ultrasound guided injection of Lipogems fat graft regenerative cell therapy in the knee joint.HISTORY: His right knee pain was constant, significantly affecting quality of life. He could hardly bend the knee, walking "straight-legged" and could not do simple activity such as putting on socks because he couldn't bend the knee far enough. He had to wear slip on shoes and couldn't put on pants without the help of his wife because of restricted range of motion. He went up steps one step at a time. He used to ride a bike and could no longer do that.Prior arthroscopic surgery medial and lateral meniscectomies. Advised total knee replacement was the only option and he wanted to avoid surgery. MRI: Degenerative tear ACL, degenerative PCL, Medial meniscus anterior and posterior horn portions not visualized, portion of the anterior horn lateral meniscus not visualized, bone marrow edema and subcentimeter cyst medial femoral condyle. Advanced bone-on-bone medial and lateral joint osteoarthritis and chondromalacia patellaPre-Lipogems: Knee pain 10/10 (0 = no pain, 10 = worst pain). KOOS knee function score 25/100 (100 perfect function). Range of motion 0-50 degrees (normal 135 degrees).2 ½ Years Post-Lipogems: Knee pain 1/10 (0= no pain, 10 = worst pain). PAIN FROM ADVANCED OSTEOARTHRITIS CASE REVIEW:
73 YO male: Bone-on-bone knee pain having failed prior standards of care including arthroscopic surgery.

First case in clinical study to pass the 2 ½ year benchmark after precision ultrasound guided injection of Lipogems fat graft regenerative cell therapy in the knee joint.

HISTORY: His right knee pain was constant, significantly affecting quality of life. He could hardly bend the knee, walking “straight-legged” and could not do simple activity such as putting on socks because he couldn’t bend the knee far enough. He had to wear slip on shoes and couldn’t put on pants without the help of his wife because of a restricted range of motion. He went up steps one step at a time. He used to ride a bike and could no longer do that.

Prior arthroscopic surgery medial and lateral meniscectomies.

Advanced bone-on-bone medial and lateral joint osteoarthritis and chondromalacia patella

Pre-Lipogems: Knee pain 10/10 (0 = no pain, 10 = worst pain). KOOS knee function score 25/100 (100 perfect function). Range of motion 0-50 degrees (normal 135 degrees).

2 ½ Years Post-Lipogems: Knee pain 1/10 (0= no pain, 10 = worst pain). KOOS knee function score 77/100 (100 perfect function). Range of motion 0-120 degrees (normal 135 degrees).
